Billy Goat Bed and Breakfast is situated in a delightful 18th century property in the much sought after  semi rural area of Wickham Bishops. The property is full of charm and character and the friendly owners will be only too pleased to serve you a delicious breakfast cooked on the aga with produce from their own chickens  and geese. The property  is situated three miles from the picturesque  market town  of Maldon  and is within easy reach of  the A12 and station with commuting routes to London.

The room is tastefully decorated in 18th century style  to enhance the original features and offers good sized  accommodation with a king size bed and tea and coffee making facilities.

The room has its own bathroom with a victorian bath and shower facility all set in the charm of the 18th century, making it a perfect space for singles, couples or  business travel.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the 18th century barn adding charm and character to your stay.

We offer a varied menu to cater for your dietary needs .

Fresh chicken eggs and seasonal goose eggs are available and cooked to your liking. We cater for all your dietary requirements.

The Garden
​

The garden overlooks  beautiful meadow views with a variety of seating areas. There is also an area occupied by  two Billy goats, chickens and geese.

Pool
​

There is an outdoor pool which may be used with prior arrangements with the owners.'

Promenade Park Maldon

 

This has everything from beautiful walks,  cafes and  pubs to eat and drink , playgrounds  and water parks for the children and  boats and bird life.

Heybridge Basin

Free car parks leading to beautiful walks all around the estuary. Stop off for food in one of the two pubs or Tiptree tea room.

Paper Mill Lock Little Baddow
​

Take a stroll along the canal path or a trip out on the river and then visit the scrumtious tea room for lunch or afternoon tea. A beautiful tranquil place not to be missed.

Chelmsford City
​

Chelmsford has a vast shopping area with many designer shops. Of particular note is the recently opened Bond Street with many sought after fashion boutiques and department stores. There is also a museum, a cathedral, ice rink, swimming pool, bowling , and two cinemas. It also has a good variety of restaurants and cafes
